Thirsys (The Last Suffering)

Favorite track: Thirsys (The Last Suffering).
Necrölf

Necrölf This song is meant to be taken pretty literally. It is the expression of deep genuine suffering. To be able to create something this well put together while being under this much duress is truly astounding and force respect Favorite track: Thirsys (The Last Suffering).
Slut Aus Nord

Slut Aus Nord Perhaps the most melancholic song in all of Asthâghul's vast catalogue, Thirsys captures a specific sense of despair and suffering rarely emulated even by many DSBM projects. Let us hope that the musician is less troubled than their work!
slayze

slayze Asthâghul manages to masterfully capture the essence of the lyrics with the music, and their tortured vocals. Best artist in metal right now, each release standing out from the rest in different ways.

Luke I hope Asthâghul is doing better than the lyrics to this imply but I for one am grateful for all art they've given us (including album art!) and hope whatever darkness gives it birth isn't insurmountable. There's nobody better doing heavy music right now imo.

about

Voices from the depths come to torment me
Shadows speak to me
A melody from the abyss replenishes my destroyed soul
I sink into the darkness
The great liberator will offer my spirit to the deceased
My death will be an escape
A total abandonment of my life
I can no longer bear the atrocities of my mind
I'm just the shadow of my fears
I must suffer this inevitable death
My life is damned by darkness
My eyes are bathed in terror
They will abandon me
Legions of spirit for the conquest of my body
They take me away from reason
I will never see the light again
The end of my suffering is near
